Purpose: The current study sought to evaluate the relationship between body awareness, postural control, and independence in completing everyday tasks in stroke patients. This research included 30 patients diagnosed with a stroke.
Participants and Methods: The participants were separated into two groups. One measurement instrument was employed in this study: the Berg balance scale and body awareness questionnaire.
Results: Body awareness was strongly connected with the degree of independence in conducting everyday tasks in the group that required minimum support when compared to the groups that required moderate and severe assistance. The findings revealed a link between body awareness and postural control, as well as independence in completing everyday tasks in stroke patients.
Conclusion: Body awareness is among the primary factors that affect the motor function of patients with stroke in rehabilitation settings.
